About Us

IDBiotech has been established in July 2004 under the leadership of Vincent RIVERA, PhD, with the support of the French National Institute of Agronomical Research (INRA) and of the Business Incubator BUSI.

The company has been created in order to develop, under exclusive INRA license (INRA-Transfert), innovations of the Immunochemistry team of the Clermont-Ferrand INRA center. The activity started in the INRA laboratory and was initially focused on the manufacture of a Single Radial Immuno Diffusion (SRID) test kit (RUMI PORC Test kit) dedicated to the authentication of the intestinal mucosa used by pharmaceuticals for the purification of heparin, an anticoagulant used in human therapy.

Today, a dynamic and experienced team has been established. The company has moved to new facilities in Issoire and has 200m² of Laboratories and offices for R&D and production. The activity is ISO 9001:2008 certified. 

Today IDBiotech offers : 

• RID and ELISA test kits for quality controls of raw material and processed products from animal origin in Pharmaceuticals, Agro-Food, Veterinary and Biotech / Research fields ; 

• Services for the design and development on demand of Immunoassays (RID and ELISA)

• Analytical services

some key dates:

March 2010 - Launch of the PAL Test, an immunocapture assay for the specific determination of the alkaline phosphatase in cow's milk and cheeses. 

February 2010 - Launch of our new web site with a webstore.

October 2009 - Renewal of the ISO 9001 certification by Bureau Veritas and approval "Credit Impôt Recherche" by the Ministry of Education and Research

August 2008 - IDBiotech moves to new facilities in Issoire. With this new laboratory surface in addition with the acquisition of several new equipments, IDBiotech is boosting its production and innovation capacity in order to meet increasing customer demand.

May 2008 - IDBiotech launch its new IDRing Meter Software: analysis and interpretation of the IDRing plates (Radial Immuno Diffusion kits) are fully automated. 

April 2008 - IDBiotech launch a new website with the help of SERAFI.

December 2007 - IDBiotech launch the IDRing Technology: IDRing Viewer for the scanning of the IDRing plates and IDRing Meter software for the analysis and interpretation. Radial Immuno Diffusion becomes an easy-to-use and robust method and meets assurance quality policies of the Pharmaceutical, Veterinary and Agro-Food laboratories. 

October 2006 - Certification ISO 9001:2000 by Bureau Veritas.

September 2006 - IDBiotech takes part to the AOAC meeting in Minneapolis. Exhibition of 3 posters : RID and Heparins ; Detection of bovine gelatin by ELISA ; The Immunocapture PAL Test for the determination of Alcaline Phosphatase in cow's milk and cheeses. 

July 2004 - Set up of IDBiotech with the support of the INRA.
